In 2008, the founder of Unique Porsche Specialists, Darren King, started his association with the Porsche brand working for OPC Bolton where he was trained to bronze standard, a qualification exceeding the already high Porsche standards. After three years he then moved to Hartech to share his knowledge of the 9x7 models and in return gained vast experience and technical understanding of the 986/996 as well as the 987/997 models.

In 2016, Darren established Unique in his home town of Westhoughton, building a broad team of technicians to look after your Porsche. With over 8500 sq/ft premises – hosting seven lifts – Unique is one of the largest Porsche specialists in the UK.

UNIQUE RACING

Unique Racing was formed in 2019 when Rob Carnson reunited with Darren King after working together at Hartech. Since then, they have built numerous race-winning cars competing in Porsche Club GB Motorsport Class 1 and 2, in the Boxster Cup and the CALM ALL Porsche Trophy – the UK’s first carbon-balanced race series for Porsche models – whilst raising money for charity.
